Velvet and Linen Bedding with a Tailored Border

Velvet Border Linen Bedding is one of our most loved collections, made for anyone who wants a luxe touch without ruffles. Inspired by a vintage 1960's mink trimmed coat, it finishes softly washed linen with a simple, tailored velvet border. It is chic, effortless and machine washable.

The fabric

The body of each piece is washed 55% French yarn linen and 45% cotton, which feels relaxed, lived-in and breathable. The border is our silk and rayon blend velvet, small batch dyed in California. Together they give a bed that looks polished but feels easy.

Colors and pieces

Velvet Border comes in Champagne, Rose, Sage, Chambray and Natural, with a Creme version as well. Pieces include Full/Queen and King duvets and standard and king shams. See Velvet Border Linen Bedding - Champagne or Velvet Border Linen Bedding - Chambray; duvet dimensions are on each product page.

Layering a velvet border bed

We like to layer rows of matching shams with velvet pillows in different shades to build a soft nest. The Velvet Frame Pillows and Shams were designed as the accent shams for this collection, and a silk velvet throw adds one more layer of texture. Prefer ruffles? Care and lead time

Machine wash in cold water with gentle liquid soap and no bleach, then lay flat or tumble dry cold. Dry cleaning is also fine if you prefer. Our linen bedding care guide covers the details. Linen and velvet pieces typically take 2 to 3 weeks to make before shipping.

The velvet border is narrow and tailored, so this collection suits rooms that lean modern or minimal as well as softer, romantic bedrooms. Champagne and Natural are quiet and versatile; Rose, Sage and Chambray add a gentle color. Since the linen is washed before sewing, it arrives soft rather than stiff.

Made to order in California, with free ground shipping on US orders.
